Protection of food is one of the most important functions of packages. In some cases the packaging itself or parts of it can be a risk for the packaged food. In the past, several incidents showed that the risk potential is manifold.
In this regulative, authorities are releasing new regulations and critical substances regularly. In addition, more and more negative lists on chemical substances of retailers, major food companies as well as NGOs are challenging the packaging industry. It is important to understand migration, origin of critical substances and to know about all important regulations for people who are producing or using packaging materials for packaging in food contact.
The seminar is targeted to developers, R & D staff working for packaging film manufacturers and for food producers, packers and distributers.
