How can plastic packaging be made suitable for circular economy?

Europe wants to recycle as much plastic waste as possible in the future, and the material cycle is to be closed. Effective packaging recycling is indispensable for this. But how well can certain packaging, especially made of plastics, be recycled? Various materials or composites in a package are problematic; they prevent recycling in the closed material cycle. Plastic packaging must therefore be developed sustainably from the ground up, and recycling must be taken into account as early as the design stage.
